Japan 26

A few photos from my recent trip to Japan. I haven't had the time to actually scan the negatives on my end, but here are the lab scans I got.

Glimpse of a passing train.

I wish I got closer.

I really like how the one above turned out with the bird flying into the hot springs water. This was in the town of Izu. Cool story: the owner of our Airbnb saw my profile picture (me holding a cinema camera) and was also into film! She left us a disposable camera to shoot a roll on which was one of the coolest and most unexpected things that's happened to me. Anyways.

This photo didn't interest me at all the first time I saw it... but now that I'm seeing it larger on my computer, I kind of like how the golden morning light bounces off of the water, hits the wall and glows inwards towards the ceiling. Could use a horizon alignment, but I'm sitting on the couch.

Really like this photo. I also asked this lady where to go. Look at me. I'm getting in the groove of blogging. Fun!

Stop. Ocean peek-a-boo.

Do I like this one more? I'm not sure. Probably not. I like how you can see the beautiful mountains, but it doesn't have a clean focal point like the last one.

Or this one. As you can tell, I was clearly just walking down the highway as I took these. Sleepy fisherman towns lend themselves to enjoyable morning walks.

Tokyo park beers. The kids ignore us in bliss.

Something about the tape measurer on the belt loop caught my eye.

I need to take more photos of my friends too.

I should've waited until he was right in front of me.

Couples boardwalk.

These hawks were hovering and swooping down on everyone.

It feels contemplative. Pretty basic image, but it feels relatable almost. In her own world. I like it.

Well, that's most of my favorite photos from this last trip. I'll need to sit on them for some time. Hope you enjoyed.
